Oya the fastest runner at her school, on her way to the big race, when she sees that her mother, Moja is ill.
Legba, the neighbor child, begins to tell Moja his dream.
Shango seduces and bewitches Oya after her mother's death.
Aunt Elle questions Shango about his intentions.
O Li Roon has caught Legba shoplifting in his store and chases him in the neighborhood.
Man from the State University tells Oya he has given her scholarship to someone else.
Ogun asks her to make a life with him after Oya loses her opportunity to go to college on a track scholarship; Shango leaves her for the army.
